"The Best Day of Our Lives"

Following the ceasefire with Iran and the reopening of Israel’s airspace to incoming flights, 32 participants from the Shnat Hachshara Darom 2026 program were finally able to arrive in Israel this month.

These young leaders, aged 18, came from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay, after their original flights, scheduled for March, were canceled due to the war. An additional 35 participants are expected to join them in the coming weeks.

The group has begun their journey at the Madrichim Institute and will later continue to Tel Aviv, take part in the Sar-El military volunteer initiative, and participate in a special agricultural program. They will remain in Israel until December, before returning home to share this meaningful experience with their communities.

"I'm so glad we were given the opportunity to come to Israel," said Emilia from Maccabi La Plata, Argentina. "These have been some of the best days of our lives. We hope it continues this way, and we’ll be waiting for our friends who are still to come so they can experience this amazing year too."
