Regional Games
The European Maccabi Games are held every four years, two years after the Maccabiah. The next European Maccabi Games for juniors will be held in London in the summer of 2024.
For the first time in almost 90 years, Maccabi this year hosted the European Winter Games in Germany. More than 350 athletes competed in disciplines such as alpine and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, figure skating, Bavarian curling and snow volleyball.
The last (summer) European Maccabi Games took place in Budapest, Hungary in 2019, with more than 3,000 participants from 42 countries.
The Pan American Maccabi Games are held every four years in South America and are sponsored by the Latin American Maccabi Confederation (CLAM). Participants include athletes from North, Central and South America, Israel and other countries. The next games will be held later this year in Buenos Aires from December 27th to January 5th.
The JCC Maccabi Games are an Olympic-style sporting competition for Jewish teenagers held each summer in North America. This year the games will also be held in Israel, the first time since 2011. Dates of this year’s games are July 5-25 in Israel and August 6-11 in Fort Lauderdale. The Games are co-sponsored by the JCC Association of North America, Maccabi World Union, Maccabi Canada, and Maccabi USA.
