Sukkot, Maccabi Style

This Sukkot, 190 young Maccabi members from around the world came together to build something truly special - a 70-square-meter sukkah in the courtyard of the Maccabi apartment building in Tel Aviv.

The participants, representing Maccabi programs including Bekef Hachshara, Shnat Hachshara, and ISE, come from communities across Mexico, San Diego, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Spain, Miami, and Panama.

But building the sukkah was only the beginning. Each evening, it became a meeting place where participants welcomed different guests - from rabbis and entrepreneurs to inspiring heroes and community leaders - for inspiring conversations and activities exploring Jewish identity, Zionism, leadership, community, and the Maccabi spirit.

More than a place to celebrate Sukkot, the sukkah has become a space for young Maccabi members from across the world to meet, learn from one another, and experience what it means to be part of one global Maccabi family.
