Strengthening Bonds, Inspiring Change

The event, held as part of MWU's Congress at Kfar Maccabiah, opened with a strategic working session. Local forum chairs from across the globe gathered to shape the Forum's future and strengthen its impact within Jewish communities worldwide. For many attendees, it was their first time at the Congress.

The day continued with two extraordinary guests—women of courage and resilience, each a hero in her own right: Merav Leshem Gonen, mother of released hostage Romi Gonen, who shared her powerful story of hope and perseverance, and Oriya from the IDF Public Diplomacy Office, a survivor of the October 7th terrorist attack on the Re’im military base, who spoke about her experience and the strength it takes to rebuild.

MWU leaders, including President Michael Siegal, CEO Amir Gissin, Chairman Amir Peled, and Vice President Lisa Borowick, delivered greetings, recognizing the vital role of women in shaping the future of Maccabi and the Jewish world. Orly Froman, Deputy Chairman of MWU, Vice Chairman of Maccabiah 2025, and Co-Founder of the Women’s Forum, expressed a powerful message: "This past year, we’ve had the privilege of meeting remarkable women leading impactful initiatives in their communities. Their deep connection to Israel is part of their daily lives. With such a strong and growing network, we can drive MWU and the Jewish world toward a brighter, safer future—together with you, the men.”

The day culminated in a vibrant and unforgettable evening featuring dinner, a live performance, and the forging of new friendships—laying the foundation for future collaboration and impact.

With unity, strength, unwavering determination, and a shared vision, Maccabi Women’s Forum continues to expand - empowering women to lead, innovate, and drive change while strengthening Jewish communities worldwide and shaping the future of Maccabi!
