Staying Strong, Giving Back

This past March, 55 participants (age 18) from Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay arrived in Israel to begin their year-long transformative leadership program — Maccabi Gap Year — combining learning, growth, and fun.

Despite the challenges of the war with Iran, these inspiring young adults chose to stay in Israel and continue their journey with strength and commitment.

They’ve already completed their training at the Madrichim Institute in Kibbutz Hatzerim, and are now volunteering with Sar-El, supporting IDF soldiers with heart and dedication. Later this year, they’ll continue with agricultural volunteering, a deep dive into Tel Aviv life, and finish the program with a final Shabbat in Eilat before heading home in November.

Throughout the year, their mission is clear: to deepen their connection with Israel and return to their Maccabi communities as stronger, more inspired Jewish leaders. We wish them continued success on their journey!
