Since October 7: 62,821 Olim Have Chosen Israel

Meet the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration - and discover your opportunities!

  • 23 June, 2026

Dear Maccabiah Athletes and Coaches,

In just a few days, we will celebrate the unbreakable spirit of Jewish sport together.  Athletes from around the world will march proudly carrying their national flags at the Opening Ceremony in Jerusalem. And when the blue-and-white flag is raised and the torch is lit, the 22nd Maccabiah Games will officially begin.

As you gather here for the world’s largest Jewish sporting event, we at the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration would like to speak with you about something that has united Jews across the globe for generations: our shared connection to Israel.

Maybe you know someone who has made Aliyah. Maybe you have family members who chose to build their lives here. Maybe you have thought about it yourself, or maybe not.  Either way, we invite you to learn more about the incredible journey of making Israel your home.

For centuries, Jews around the world dreamed of returning to their homeland and ended their prayers with the words, “Next year in Jerusalem.” Today, that dream lives on through every individual who chooses to be a part of Israel’s story.

Since October 7, 2023, more than 62,821 Jews have made Aliyah. Many are young adults who chose, even during challenging times, to start their new chapter here, reflecting resilience, optimism, and Jewish pride.

During your visit, you will have a unique opportunity to experience Israel firsthand and feel the energy, diversity, and opportunities that make this country so unique.

Throughout the Games, you can meet our team at the Opening Ceremony and the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration Information Hub at Kfar Maccabiah. We would love to answer your questions and share information about living, studying, and working in Israel.

New Olim may be eligible for a wide range of benefits and support, including:

Personal guidance and support throughout the integration process.
A financial assistance package of approximately NIS 20,000 during the first months after arrival.
 Tuition assistance for eligible students.
Career counseling, professional training programs, Hebrew-language courses, and employment support.
Specialized programs for entrepreneurs and business owners.

Today, many Olim are making their mark across Israeli society - in sports, academia, technology, business, and beyond. Whether you are an athlete, coach, student, professional, or entrepreneur, Israel offers countless possibilities for personal and professional growth. We are here to help you explore them and turn your dreams into reality.
