Marching Together, More Than Ever

Just weeks before the Maccabiah Games open in Israel, dozens of Maccabi World Union and Maccabiah leaders and staff, together with Maccabi USA representatives, proudly marched along Fifth Avenue in New York City's annual Israel Day Parade.

The delegation included MWU Chairman Amir Peled, Maccabiah Chairman Asaf Goren, Maccabi USA CEO Marshall Einhorn, Maccabi USA Chairman Donald Kent, Honorary President of Maccabiah 2026 Stuart Weitzman, and MWU's dedicated shlichim.

Marching alongside the Maccabiah float, they brought to life the values that unite our global Maccabi family - sport, community, Jewish pride, and a shared connection to Israel.

In partnership with Maccabi USA, a key leader in advancing Jewish identity and engagement through sport across the United States, the parade symbolized the enduring bond between Israel, the United States, and Jewish communities worldwide.

"This year, more than ever, we are reminded of the strength of our global Maccabi family", said Amir Peled, MWU Chairman. "Seeing thousands march proudly together in New York is a powerful testament to our connection across continents, cultures, and borders. That connection lies at the heart of our movement, and this summer, we'll celebrate it together in Israel".

"The Israel Day Parade captures the very spirit of the Games - unity, resilience, and Jewish pride", added Asaf Goren, Chairman of the Maccabiah. "We can't wait to welcome the Jewish world home this July for Maccabiah 2026. This year's Maccabiah carries special significance, and we want every athlete who wishes to be part of it to have that opportunity. That's why athlete registration will remain open until the very last moment".

As excitement builds toward the Games this summer, one message is clear: we are stronger when we march together – More Than Ever.
