Maccabiah Camp Experience 2026

Following last year's success, the 2026 Maccabiah Camp Experience returned this summer, bringing the spirit of the Maccabiah Games to 23 Jewish summer camps across the United States.

Through sports, Israel engagement, Jewish identity, leadership, and meaningful interactions with Maccabiah athletes, approximately 4,500 campers experienced firsthand the values of our global Maccabi movement.

The initiative was led by Maccabi USA and MWU through our dedicated regional Shlichim: Lior (MWU & MUSA Central Shlicha), Tal (Pennsylvania & New York), Ido (Maryland), Dean (Pennsylvania), Daniela (Los Angeles, California), and Oren (Georgia & Florida).

This year, the program reached eight states across the U.S.: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, West Virginia, Georgia, Florida, and California.

Campers took part in interactive sports clinics led by Maccabiah athletes and coaches, including basketball, soccer, baseball, pickleball, volleyball, catchball, and judo. Each clinic combined skill development with teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience, and plenty of fun.

 Beyond the clinics, participants had the chance to spend time with the athletes through conversations, Q&A sessions, group activities, and personal interactions - creating connections that extended well beyond the playing field.

Every camp visit also included educational programming exploring the history and significance of the Maccabiah Games - as a global celebration of Jewish identity, unity, and pride, Israel and its connection to the global Jewish community, the values of the Maccabi movement, and opportunities for future involvement with Maccabi USA and the Maccabiah Games.

Looking ahead to next summer, our goal is to reach even more Jewish summer camps and campers across North America, creating a pathway for a new generation to become future Maccabi leaders and Maccabiah participants.
