Celebrating Israel's Independence Together
Nitzachon Program by Yachad & Hacoaj Argentina
- 30 April, 2026
As part of its deep commitment to Jewish life and its connection to Israel, Hacoaj Argentina continues to lead its annual senior leadership initiative, in partnership with Yachad Maccabi Programs, bringing together a dedicated group of volunteers for a meaningful journey exploring Jewish roots and identity in the diaspora.
This unique program takes place each year around Israel’s Independence Day, combining visits to key Jewish heritage sites worldwide with a shared celebration in Israel. Past programs have included journeys through Poland and Israel (“Derech” - Route), Central Europe - Prague, Vienna, and Budapest - alongside Israel (“Shorashim” - Roots), and Portugal and Israel (“Hemshech” - Continuity).
This year, 40 participants aged 60–80, all active members of Hacoaj’s leadership, took part in a nine-day program in Germany titled Nitzachon (Victory), led by Marcelo Burcatovsky and Manuel Aszyn.
"One of the things I appreciate most is that each trip is better than the last", shared Fabio and Poupee Rozenblum, this year's participants. "The content is profound and prepared with remarkable dedication. It educates us, but above all, it moves us. The connection with our roots is instantaneous. We're returning to Argentina already looking forward to the next trip, because these experiences are truly unique. We hope more people can take part in these programs - it's our mission to make that happen. Thanks to the team who made this possible".
"It was an incredible and unforgettable experience", added Eduardo and Mirna Kirchuk. "With our hearts following the events in Israel, we were able to delve deeper into our history, strengthening our sense of belonging".
While the program traditionally continues on to Israel, this year that part of the journey was postponed due to the current security situation. Yet even in times of uncertainty, the initiative stands as a powerful expression of Jewish resilience and the enduring spirit of our Maccabi movement.
"The program exceeded our expectations - every place we visited inspired us and taught us valuable lessons", concluded Vivi and Quique Loszpe. "Each journey strengthens our group, and may our dream of ending our next trip in Israel come true".
