A Taste of Maccabiah
With over 1,000 campers across 7 camps, the first-ever "Maccabiah Camp Experience" this summer was a huge success

At the BBYO CLTC summer camp in Poyntelle, PA, campers in grades 9-10 dove into dynamic sports clinics, honing their skills with top athletes like Nofar Shalom (Basketball, Israel), Nuriel Lewin (Soccer, Uruguay), and Caren Lesser (Karate, USA). Each camper proudly received a custom medal designed just for the event.

The BBYO ILTC Perlman Camp in PA opened its "Maccabiah Day" with an exciting ceremony celebrating the Maccabiah Games and the fantastic partnership between MWU and BBYO. Campers engaged with our athletes in an inspiring panel discussion throughout the day.

The sports clinics at Golden Slipper Camp in PA focused on teamwork and reaction time. The campers were thrilled to learn about the Maccabiah Games for the first time and run with the official Maccabiah torch.

Young campers, aged 7-9, at Baltimore J Camps in MD buzzed with excitement as they met Maccabi stars, including softball player Lindsey Gilbert (USA), and eagerly asked them about their careers.

At URJ Eisner Camp in Great Barrington, MA, Maccabi athletes Nofar Shalom, Donald and Jake Kent (Soccer, USA), and Eliza Phillips (Rugby, USA) shared their love for sports with campers. Their sessions were made even more meaningful by their special connection to the camp, where they had been campers themselves years ago!

Camp Kadima at the David Posnack JCC in FL saw 100 campers enjoy one-on-one sessions with Nofar Shalom, Powell Schneider (Soccer, USA), and Eyal Hakim (Rugby, USA). The closing ceremony was a highlight, filled with insights and excitement.

AT Camp Sol Taplin at the Michael-Ann Russell JCC in FL, campers started the day with spirited renditions of the American and Israeli anthems while the Maccabi athletes held the Maccabiah torch. The day’s clinics introduced them to rugby and other new sports.
