Gestures of Solidarity from Across the Globe
MWU Women's Forum members shared with us the moving October 7 commemoration events from their communities worldwide, demonstrating great support despite the geographic distance

In Melbourne, Australia, the Zionism Victoria movement hosted an Anniversary Commemoration that featured songs of strength, hope, and inspiration and organized a special fundraising ride.
Across the city, schools and campuses marked a Jewish Day with age-appropriate assemblies, prayers, classes, and activities.
The state of New South Wales lit up in white, blue, and yellow lights as a symbol of unity with Israel and empathy for the hostages.
In Sydney, 12,000 people participated in a memorial assembly, wearing blue and white shirts and waving Israeli flags.
A touching act of remembrance occurred in the small Jewish community of Cuba, where Cuban Jews sang the Hatikvah anthem outside the Beth Shalom Synagogue in Vedado Habanero. Community members also placed 101 yellow ribbons in honor of their kidnapped sisters and brothers.
In Miami, Florida, the Cyclebar Aventura Indoor Training Studio held a special class titled "Cycle for Israel. " The studio was decorated with yellow ribbons and Israeli flags, and all proceeds were donated to Friends of the IDF.
Berlin, Germany, hosted various ceremonies, including an official event where the German president and foreign minister expressed their sorrow and encouragement for Israel.
