Leeor Witlin

MWU & Maccabi USA Central Shlicha

Leeor is 38 years old, married to Yohay, and defines herself as "A woman of informal education".

Based in Philadelphia, Leoor will be the MWU Central Shlicha in Maccabi USA, and the head of the MWU-wide delegation in North America. She will focus on promoting the Maccabi movement in North America. She will bring Israeli education and connections between North American TO's and MWU.

Prior to her Shlichut, she lived in Holon, working as the CEO of Maccabi Tzair Israel, and before that as the head of the educational department in Maccabi Tzair Israel.

Leeor grew up in Rishon Le-Zion and spent her entire teen life in Tzofim. After she was released from the army she started working for Tzofin as a regional director and was the Tzofim shlicha based in Los Angeles overseeing the educational programming for the west coast area.

Leeor has a degree in film and she is also a certified personal coach who dreams of coaching teenagers and teaching them emotional language and emotional communication

Adi Ratzon

Baltimore Zionist District Shlicha

Adi Ratzon was born in 1990 and grew up in Ramat Gan, Israel. Adi was part of the “Maccabi Tzair” Youth Movement throughout her childhood and she worked with kids and teens.

After finishing High School, Adi chose to do a year of voluntary social service in the city of Beer Sheva instead of drafting right away. In 2009, Adi drafted into the IDF, where she served in the Karkal Unit, which is a unique co-ed combat unit based in Southern Israel.

After the army, Adi rejoined Maccabi Tzair and worked for them for six years. Adi holds a BA in Psychology and Sociology from the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo. Adi is now the Shlicha for the Baltimore Zionist District and is working within the community to bring the Israeli culture and feeling to Baltimore. Adi is focusing on Israel education, Israel experience and on the rise of Anti-Semitism, BDS and Holocaust Denial. Adi is currently in her second year of Shlichut.

Guy Sela

Central Maccabi Shaliach the JCC Association

Guy Sela was born in South Africa and then moved to Israel with his family. Guy served as a commending officer in the paratroopers brigade in the IDF.

After he released from the military Guy studied his degree in law and political science in the IDC Herzliya while running teens programs in the Maccabi youth movement in Israel.

Guy is still serving in the IDF as a company commander in reserve. Guy is working for the JCC Association in New York and in charge the community Shlichim at the local JCCs, of the Israel education at the JCC Maccabi Games, on developing community partners and promoting Maccabi programs at the JCCA.

Ofir Shinhertz

BBYO Central Shaliach

Ofir is the Maccabi World Union central Shaliach at BBYO, based in Washington DC, overseeing Israel engagement across the global movement.

Prior to his Shlichut, he has been living in Tel Aviv, working at Maccabi Tzair Israel HQ as head of international programs, and before that as an educational director and chapter leader in the movement.

Ofir grew up in Rishon Le-Zion in a fairly secular home. He started exploring his interest in his Jewish Identity and passion towards Jewish and Israel education, as a “Diller Teen Fellow” in his junior year of high school.

He continued pursuing it in his 3 years of service in the IDF, as a commander and staff sergeant at “Marva” course, and then with his professional positions in Maccabi Tzair- working on the partnership between BBYO and Maccabi, leading and organizing delegations, founding and leading the “BBYO-MTZ Ambassadors Fellowship” and creating opportunities for Jewish teens around the world to connect.Ofir also did a Year of Service before joining the IDF, working with underprivileged teens and children, and special populations in Beer Sheva with his friends from Maccabi as part of the “Garin Nachal” Program.Ofir is a certified personal trainer and enjoys working out.
He is interested in Architecture, design and fashion, loves traveling and is a known Foodie.

Yuval Alon

Jcc Maccabi Shaliach to Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Yuval Alon - 27 years old, I grew up in the Maccabi Tzair movement in Gedera and you can say that my life is shaped by the path of life I went through in the movement.

After several guidance positions, I postponed my drafted in the army for a year of volunteering in the city of Bat Yam.

I enlisted for combat duty in Nahal.

After the military service I returned to various positions in the Maccabi movement and worked there for about 5 years.

In November 2022 I went to a Shlichut to the JCC Maccabi games that hosted at the David Posnack JCC in Fort Lauderdale.

As part of my duties, I led the process and production of the educational part in the games, including: J CARE - the volunteer project in which all the athletes and professional teams took part, the HANG TIME complex - the social educational complex where the athletes spent their free time, met friends and learned about Judaism and Israel. and other parts in the special events.

I’m continuing with another Shlichut year in which I will continue the community's connection with educational content and a connection to Israel, I am working with a Maccabi Tzair branch in Fort Lauderdale as part of the Staff and I am working on the establishment of “Maccabi Florida” which will consolidate under it all the activities of Maccabi World Union in South Florida.

Yotam "YOTO" Sarid

Maccabi Shaliach to CDI Mexico and Ha'Shomer

Yotam 'Yoto' Sarid, 28 years old.

Born in Rehovot, Israel. From the age of 5 he lived in Gedera. Since he was little Yoto has been involved in the world of Hadraja - in Madatzaim, Moetzet etc.' His national service was with survivors of World War II.

In 2017 he entered the world of Jewish education when he started working at the Maccabeadas in Israel, from there he returned to the different Maccabeadas as one of the managers. In that same year, he did his B.A in Psychology.

In 2020, Yoto started working on the Maccabi Mundial "bekeff" program - as Madrij and as a coordinator. He also worked as Rakaz at Majon le Madrijim.

In 2022 he completed his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. This year he worked as Vice Director of the education department of the Maceabaedas Juveniles.

Starting in August 2022, Yoto began working at the Jewish Agency as Sheliach of Maccabi Hatzair and Hashomer Hatzair in Mexico.
